A Raw Deal?
A Raw Deal? is the latest report coming out of The Salvation Army's Crisis Services and written by Dr James Rowe from RMIT. The report takes a strong justice stand against Commonwealth health policies which discriminate against recovering addicts by charging them dispensing fees for their medication. Contrasting a relatively small national cost to the disproportionate personal cost borne by some of the most disadvantaged members of our society, Dr Rowe advocates for immediate change in the current policy which places people under undue stress, sabotages recovery efforts and too often results in people returning to criminal activity.
