1. Change is possible. Even when we least expect it, perhaps when we've lost all hope for ourselves, given the right opportunities we can experience a new life.
2. Everyone within a community has a joint responsibility to care for others, particularly those most vulnerable. It doesn't matter whether someone has ended up in difficulty through their own bad choices or circumstances outside their control - we should still offer them the opportunity to help turn their lives around.
