There's not much one can say about the tragic circumstances in Burma at the moment in the wake of a devastating tornado that has left continually increasing numbers of people dead, injured, homeless and potentially diseased. Pause for a moment and consider what an appropriate humanitarian response to this situation would be. What would it mean to take the idea of a global brotherhood and sisterhood of humanity seriously in this kind of situation? Where is God? What should we do?
